Coming from diverse backgrounds we unite together around one primary thing: God’s love displayed to us through his Son Jesus’ death and resurrection. As we believe the gospel, so we rest in the knowledge that we are God’s dearly loved children. This love then urges us to live out our lives in response to God’s goodness—by loving Him wholeheartedly, being connected to His people, and by serving others. From children’s stories to expository preaching, we aim to see young and old alike deepening their understanding of the Word of God and growing in Jesus.
What To Expect →
We know that visiting a church for the first time can be an unnerving experience, so please find below a brief overview of what to expect on a typical Sunday at GraceCity:
Each service lasts about 90 minutes and includes times of singing, praying, and preaching. All this takes place in a prayerful environment that seeks to be both reverent and joyful.
Our music style is contemporary, incorporating both older hymns and newer choruses.
As part of our worship we regularly take an offering. Tithes and offerings are something we ask our church family to do. They are a way of continuing our ministry here and abroad. Church members are welcome to give at anytime, but we do not expect our guests to give donations of any kind.
Our preaching is usually expository, as we explain and apply a passage from the Bible. Our intention is to systematically work through books of the Bible together.
On most Sunday’s the children join in the service for the first 30 minutes before being dismissed to their own age-specific classrooms.
At least once a month, and usually on the third Sunday, we celebrate Holy Communion. This is a visible and tangible way for Christians to remember Jesus' death on their behalf.
We encourage everyone to stay back after each service for some light refreshments, to catch up with old friends and to make new friends. Community life is important to us!
