I met Nada at my children’s kindergarten a few years ago when she and her son came to stay for a few months in Nagoya. Her husband was working on an international research project at a local hospital. Nada is an emergency doctor in Egypt, so even though I speak no Arabic, her very good English meant we were able to enjoy daily conversations.

My life in the past was full of sin. I used to be loose with money, use people for my benefit and lie shamelessly. I lied, and had to lie again in order to cover up my previous lies. It went on endlessly, and ended up deceiving others a lot in my life. As my lies began to catch up with me, so I found myself in even greater trouble.
This year I was faced with one of the toughest tests of faith in my Christian life. My husband and I had to make a decision that would affect the rest of our life. We were pulling in two different directions, which meant my struggle was double. Our disagreement on the one hand, and the burden of failing to submit to my husband on the other hand.
