Internship and Residency Reference Form

The goal of an internship and residency is to provide successful applicants with an opportunity to observe how a gospel-centred theological vision drives ministry. As well as providing an environment for personal growth and hands on experience, an internship and residency allows individuals to thoughtfully consider their future role in ministry. The long-term goal is to equip people to lead and support healthy gospel-centred churches in Japanese cities
In order to do this effectively, our elders and coaches need to begin with a basic understanding of the applicants strengths and weaknesses. This means the following reference form is less concerned about ‘passing’ or ‘failing’ an applicant, and more concerned about identifying potential blind spots and highlighting hidden strengths.
